Tournament News 2015 What a Success!!! The sold out 18th Tiara Classic & Auction on Monday June 22nd at Mill Woods Golf Course was a Christmas theme and carts were decorated with ribbons, gift boxes, reindeer antlers, candy canes and more. Golfers were decked out in their favorite Christmas outfits making for a very colorful event.

Thanks to everyone who donated pj’s, etc for the Lurana Shelter – we filled over two huge cartons, plus a generous donation from Maryann Preece of 8 cartons of ladies lingerie. Tiara Classic’s major presenter, Independent Jewellers, gifted each one of the golfers with a beautiful, sparkling Swarovski wrap bracelet. Edmonton Motors sponsored the ever popular breakfast buffet for all. Sponsors and volunteers greeted the golfers at each hole, handing out treats, offering prize draws or scrumptious food and drinks to all. Honourary Chair, Sharon Mallon entertained the ladies with jokes and a hilarious tale about her and Sister Lucinda’s gardening partnership the past year. Sister Lucinda May Patterson and Lurana Shelter Director, Liza Sunley were all decked out in beautiful white angel costumes for the day. Winners of the 18 hole game prizes were each presented with a beautifully wrapped basket containing A bottle of Rudolfo wine sponsored by Integra Technologies, cookies from Confettie Sweets, a necklace from Value Drug Mart and two Tiara wine glasses and chocolates from the Edmonton Sun Bogey Women. Linda White, Susan Nerbas, Joan Thom, Vivian Knight Grand Prize Draw sponsored by Westjet with a trip for two anywhere in Westjet’s world ,plus a set of luggage donated by Cheryl Larsen of 21 Realty was won by golfer, Alexandra Charbonneau. Alex was presented her wonderful prize by Westjet representative, Kelly Eklund.
Alexandra Charbonneau and Westjet’s Kelli Eklund Movado once again donated a beautiful ladies watch for the 2nd raffle of the day. The 2015 Anne Alexander Memorial Award – sponsored by Stony Plain Records, Heather de Kok Floral Design and the Edmonton Sun Bogey Women was awarded to longtime volunteers. These gentlemen have provided hole set up, take down and all day support for the volunteers on the holes for many years and are invaluable to the success of the tournament.
